To date there is no "Colegio Profesional" comprising the Materials Engineers, and is therefore created the AIMAT (November-97). The AIMAT is an professional association of  materials engineering in order to unite professionals in a common goal. 


Therefore, we invite you to join the Association.Legally can not become any "Colegio" if there is prior recognition of profession. To be recognized by some studies as a profession is necessary that the Spanish State confers on professional skills and to date they do not exist for us.



There are also partnerships with other technology centers and agencies, such as with the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass (SECV).


AIMAT, since 1998 is integrated into the Spanish Society of Materials (SEMAT), with which it actively participates in all kinds of publications related to the field of materials.From AIMAT, we think the best way forward in search of professional skills is to group and asserting our weight in society.
